It has been some time now since we took the dolphin therapy. It was again a very beautiful, interesting and successful, but also an exhausting time. We will gladly return again and again.
This time our main goal was speech and concentration. Barbara intensively practiced speech with Sandra, and she always had to express herself verbally. The result was that our daughter now tries much more to communicate verbally. Also, her vocabulary has increased enormously. Read the rest of this entry »
Dolphin Therapy helped Serge: he smiles, concentrates better and is more alert of his environment.
Haltern: I am awaited. The thirteen year old Serge is excited, beaming at me through his thick spectacles. His mother, Dodo Akpaqnonite, wants to explain who the guest is, but Serge remembers my first visit, he knows why I have come, and he laughs into the camera.
”Serge is looser, more relaxed. He could open his hands and hold the dolphin’s fin. And he smiled a lot”. Dodo Akpaqnonite, Serge’s mother.
The severely disabled boy, who once could not move his arms, sat waiting. ”Hi, how are you?” I could even shake his hand. He grinned at me, which meant ”Everything’s OK”. I met Serge and his mother a year ago. She was tired, but she would not be beaten. Serge could neither concentrate nor coordinate his cramped hands. Even though he was strapped into a wheel chair he was always moving. His head shook with every change in mood. Had his wheel chair not been fully padded he would have been covered in bruises. His mother was constantly removing spittle from his chin. Now she needs to remind him to wipe himself, and usually he can. He can even open his hands.
Ten months ago during my visit he was sitting apathetically in his wheel chair. Now, he wants to ‘join in’ the conversation, laughing, humming, hand movements, rolling his eyes or blinking, he follows our conversation.
The mother related that she arrived back from Turkey on Tuesday. He had been in Marmaris for Dolphin Therapy, visiting ‘Flip’, ‘Frosia’ and ‘Jonas’, with his mother Dodo for two weeks. Their stay in Marmaris, said the mother, was very good. Read the rest of this entry »
My brother had dolphin therapy at your centre in june and he is a totally different child. Both him and my mum met the dolphin while me and a friend swam. I can honestly say it was the best thing in my life and we will definitely be doing it again next year. Thank you so much.
We arrived in Bulgaria! We want to thank you very much for working with Martin! We are very impressed by the professionalism of your team – Igor is incredible!
Marty feared many of the dolphin, gradually overcame his fear and finally have had a good friendship! Thank you and Sema for therapy, this is new for us. We want to find such specialists in cranio-sacral therapy and in Bulgaria to continue if you have any information, you will be grateful!
Hippotherapy was magnificent, Sally is amazing, has great love for children, Feliz – too. Thanks to Diana and physio therapy. There have been some changes in Marty. After a month we will write what happened to Marty after the dolphin therapy. Then I will share them with you specifically. Thank you again! We hope we have more meetings with you! We send as attachment a photo that is evidence of successful work of Igor!
Greetings from the whole family!
Martin, Cvetalina and Emil

Dramatic Meeting: Dilsah Sue with a therapist at work with a dolphin. The animals in Marmaris live in a free-water dolphinarium. Her mother is fighting for a further course of treatment.
Dilsah Sue is blabbing. The past year the girl with the dark eyes manages in this way to communicate that she wants to say something. For longer than this she has been able to walk. In 2007 she managed to get up off the floor for the first time and then, slowly but progressively, over the following year she learned to walk. This was a big achievement for the nine year old and her family.
Dilsah Sue came into the world with a hernia of the diaphragm. In the sixth month of pregnancy the doctors diagnosed that the diaphragm of the little girl had not closed. The organs in the stomach region were not held in place and put pressure on the lungs. Read the rest of this entry »
So, it is now time for the Report of our third Dolphin Therapy, from 09.09 – 23.09.2011, in the ONMEGA Dolphin Therapy Center in Marmaris, Turkey!
After the very, very good experiences we had in the Dolphin Therapy Center in 2008 and 2009, we were certain that we would return. In December our bookings were made and we were already looking forward……
On 09.09.2011 at long last the time had come, the aircraft flew us south, to the dolphins !!
As Leon had his therapy bicycle with him this time, we had booked a special Transfer through the Therapy Center, which worked very well. After a short wait we drove from the airport in Dalaman straight to the Club Turban Hotel in Marmaris. We were so pleased with the Hotel last time we decided to stay there again. Everything there is suitable for children and the disabled, and the staff is really kind.
The weather was, apart from 2 rainy afternoons, super; sunshine and a temperature of 40°C, not so hot as in July. Just right for us after the bad Summer we had at home.
After 2 days relaxing on the beach, on Monday we started Leon’s therapy program. We had met Barbara on the platform the day before….. Leon recognized Barbara straight away, we were all happy and the atmosphere was warm and friendly as it had been in previous years. As if we had never left. Read the rest of this entry »
My daughter Nele had Dolphin Therapy from 17.09.-01.10.2011 in Marmaris, Turkey. Amongst other things this form of animal-assisted therapy works through ultra waves that the dolphins use for communication. These ultra waves set the child’s brain in an Alpha state; this is a condition which relaxes the brain but also in which the brain has its strongest learning ability. Normally this condition is present only when sleeping, when the day’s experiences are processed. During and after the Dolphin Therapy this state remains retrievable for up to 3 to 6 months, so that the child’s heightened learning ability remains – Tests have shown that the learning ability increases by 10 to 15 times more than normal.
For the therapy to be a success the child should also be adequately encouraged after the therapy. Read the rest of this entry »
We hope you are all alright and have had such a nice Summer as we did. Some time has passed since we were with you for therapy. It was again a very nice, intense and successful time. Sandra has improved a lot.
Sandra loves the dolphins ( especially Frosia) a lot and she still often speaks of them. Every day she had a lot of fun at the therapy. She was also very proud to be alone in the water with Frosia and to be allowed to give her instructions.
I went riding with Victoria today, before that we were in a shop at a farm where we bought carrots for Moritz, her horse, and a green cucumber. By the time we arrived home Victoria had eaten the whole cucumber, usually I had to cut it into thin slices for her, but she had simply eaten the whole cucumber.
You do very good work, now I even hear sometimes the “s”. Here are a few more pictures of Victoria. Hearty greetings to everyone from the Lenuweit family. We see Flip daily, as Victoria presses the remote control of the DVD player into our hands every day, and she watches everything, and one can see her “little big head” at work. She has also eaten a whole apple, as if she had never done anything else.
