My name is Gerd, I am 46 years old and suffer from Muscular distrophy (HSMN II) since I was 5.

I have always been searching for relief from this muscle illness and at the beginning of this year I became interested in Dolphin Therapy. So I looked it up in Google. I read everything about dolphin therapy that I could in the whole net and compared the different offers. Axel and his team was at the top of the list. At the beginning of March I made an application and couldn’t believe it that I was able to come to Antalya on May 7. This was just after the opening of the Therapy Centre. Dolphin Therapy for Dardan

Hello, I would like to say a few words about the Dolphin therapy of my son Dardan. I am really happy that we went with the whole family to the Dolphin therapy in Antalya for the Spring holydays. Everything was good en we were very pleased with everything and the fact that everything went very well with the therapy of Dardan.

Dolphin Therapy for Dardan

The dolphins Flip and Frosia, as the dolphin therapist Barbara, were a real miracle for Dardan. After the first 2 days Dardans fear reduced a lot and in the end he had also lost his fear of deep water. Dardan listened amazingly well to Barbara. She was so good that Dardan gained a lot of trust in a very short time. Because of the therapy, a lot of other things improved as well, for example self confidence, concentration and communication. He has also said so many words, that it really surprised me.

Dardan swam with dolphin Flip, danced with him, stroke him, gave him a kiss. He was so happy with Flip that he didn’t want to let go of him anymore! It was all so good to see. Because of our own experience with the dolphins, I would like to advice other parents to take this step, because it’s really worth for them and their children. Read the rest of this entry »

Third Dolphin Therapy for Leon in Antalya

So, it is now time for the Report of our third Dolphin Therapy, from 09.09 – 23.09.2011, in the ONMEGA Dolphin Therapy Center in Antalya, Turkey!

After the very, very good experiences we had in the Dolphin Therapy Center in 2008 and 2009, we were certain that we would return. In December our bookings were made and we were already looking forward……

On 09.09.2011 at long last the time had come, the aircraft flew us south, to the dolphins !!

As Leon had his therapy bicycle with him this time, we had booked a special Transfer through the Therapy Center, which worked very well. After a short wait we drove from the airport in Dalaman straight to the Club Turban Hotel in Antalya. We were so pleased with the Hotel last time we decided to stay there again. Everything there is suitable for children and the disabled, and the staff is really kind.

The weather was, apart from 2 rainy afternoons, super; sunshine and a temperature of 40°C, not so hot as in July. Just right for us after the bad Summer we had at home.

After 2 days relaxing on the beach, on Monday we started Leon’s therapy program. We had met Barbara on the platform the day before….. Leon recognized Barbara straight away, we were all happy and the atmosphere was warm and friendly as it had been in previous years. As if we had never left. Read the rest of this entry »

Dolphin Assisted Therapy of Annika

First of all, Annika is 13 years old and weighs only 25kg! But she is a pack of muscles, very resilient and mostly very happy!

We booked through Delfintherapiereisen Megasport in Germany. That was very simple. At the beginning of the year I sent an e-mail stating the dates I wanted and travelled at the beginning of the Summer holidays. Megasport sends all the supporting documents per e-mail – one can also print them and fill them out at leisure! As I had a few questions I phoned them up and everything was answered, very nice and friendly. I can recommend that.

Hello Barbara and Team!

We hope you are all alright and have had such a nice Summer as we did. Some time has passed since we were with you for therapy. It was again a very nice, intense and successful time. Sandra has improved a lot.

Sandra loves the dolphins ( especially Frosia) a lot and she still often speaks of them. Every day she had a lot of fun at the therapy. She was also very proud to be alone in the water with Frosia and to be allowed to give her instructions.

Phil´s 2nd Trip to the Dolphins

As we had such memorable experiences in 2009 in the Onmega Center, we decided to repeat the adventure a second time. After the first time he began to speak, became generally more open and self confident. This time we flew to Antalya without any expectations, just thought we would see what happens this time. Phil and his Papa flew first, my young son Nick and I flew a week later. (with Grandma and Grandpa for support). It was like coming home, as if we had never left. Phil this time had Flip, Barbara, Christina and Cynthia as his therapeutic Team, Beata, Sema and Julia dealt with the  „stiff joints“. Right from the beginning Phil was not anxious at all  and looked forward to working with everyone each day. Especially singing with Flip, dancing with him and driving  „water taxi“ gave him much joy. At the end he used the  „magic word“ all on his own. He quickly became more confident, used longer sentences and personal pronouns („we/“us“). But the best was: He could pronounce  „sch“, for which we had waited so long (before it was  „Fiff“ oder „Hüppe“). His favourite word is now  „SCHön“ J. Report about Dolphin Therapy Center in Antalya

Hello my dears,

just a few words from me about the dolphin therapy in Antalya, Turkey, for the three children. I paid a surprise visit to the parents in Turkey in order to personally view some of the children‘s therapies.

As I (with a friend) arrived three days before the parents, I was able to see everything beforehand and have everything explained.

During the very hearty welcome from Herr Axel Linke (Manager of the Therapy Center) and all the therapists and doctors, I was also given permission to take a look at everything and all my questions were given honest answers. Hallo to you,

the best wishes from Carina and her parents.

We had a wonderful time at the dolphin therpie it was good for Carina. A fiew days after beeing back in germany Carina slept much better during the nights and it still continues. So we thinking about a dolphin therapie in 2012 but we don’t know exact weather we have the time for that. May be we’ll see us next year.

I sent the pictures we took with you and Canina with this mail.
