Sandra Swimming with Dolphins

Hello Barbara and Team!

We hope you are all alright and have had such a nice Summer as we did. Some time has passed since we were with you for therapy. It was again a very nice, intense and successful time. Sandra has improved a lot.

Sandra loves the dolphins ( especially Frosia) a lot and she still often speaks of them. Every day she had a lot of fun at the therapy. She was also very proud to be alone in the water with Frosia and to be allowed to give her instructions.

Barbara and Alejandra this time worked intensively on her speech. She had to name daily all the fins, give Frosia instructions and sing. Sandra carried out these tasks very well and with much success. She now talks a lot more, and clearer. She can pronounce clearer the names of friends and family members. Through this our everyday life has become much simpler. Sandra is also pleased to be able to be understood when she says something. One cannot imagine how this promotes the quality of life.

Sandra´s  personality has also changed very much. She is a lot calmer and patient. She can spend a whole hour building a puzzle or playing with her Kapla building bricks. She spends altogether more time on one thing and does not change her game every five minutes. The way she plays has altered too. Clearing games away functions better and she no longer does this at random.

She sings more and now she also likes to dance. Her expression has improved considerably.

She now also loves to help, e.g. serving and clearing up at parties.…

At Physiotherapy she worked with Julia and Beata on her co-ordination and muscle strength. This was always a strenuous time for Sandra. But she also had a lot of fun. At the end of the two weeks one could already see that her co-ordination had improved and become more specific. She was also stronger. She is now very proud to be able to hop on both legs.

Sandra always looked forward to visit Salih for Hippo therapy. This time she learned to take the reins and to gallop with her horse Nanu. She had endless fun with this. At home her riding instructor is very impressed with how confident she now sits astride her horse.

Put altogether we can only say that the time we spent with you was really super, that Sandra again attained a lot of success.

We shall try to visit you again as soon as it is possible.
