Dear.Barbara, sorry that I am writing to you only now, but until yesterday my computer was out of action. Now at long last I can send you Nico’s report! But more important is…….. WE MISS YOU !! NIIICHOLAAA is very well: he is always laughing, reacts a lot better when spoken to, holds more often eye contact and is generally more open! Another good thing is that Nico can now manage his toilet himself without any help. The only drawback is that he enjoys it and the child always stinks.
I hope the report is to your liking and that you can use it all! If you cannot open it or if you only receive the text without pictures let me know and I will use a different programme. Oh dear, it is such a shame that you are such a long way away! Please say hello to everyone for us (especially Suna, Claudia and Anett ) and give Daisy a biiiiig kiss and an extra fish from Nico! I hope we shall stay in contact. Read the rest of this entry »
Thank you again for the great success Selina had during and after the dolphin therapy.
We decided to stay for 3 weeks because Selina does not like water and we thought she would need a week to get used to it. We were surprised though, because she participated well from the beginning thanks to the great therapy team and accepted the water and the dolphin “Frosia”.
Selina is a child with multiple disabilities, with the Ohtahara syndrome and epilepsy. She has a similar disease to Rene Treitler. We have known family Treitler Sandra, Erwin, Lisa and of course Rene for several years and have been following the therapies Rene has been doing, and we can only confirm that this was the best thing that could have happened to our children and our families!
Dolphin Therapy Experiences of the Morstein Family from 4.8 -18.8.2007.
Hello,At long last we have found the time to let you know of our impressions of the dolphin therapy in Antalya from 4.8. -18.8.2007.
The journey to turkey was altogether quite without problems, except that the Airport at Stuttgart was not prepared for disabled persons. In Dalaman we were met and taken to the transfer bus. After a 90 minute drive we arrived in the Antalya Resort. After lunch we moved into our accommodation. 2 nice rooms next to each other. Christoph claimed straight -away the big “Wheelchair -suitable” room.
It was a shame that Christoph’s room had a 5cm high step that prevented the wheelchair from entering the bathroom. Also there were no hold bars in the bathroom. Read the rest of this entry »
This was widely reported in the Press, the ‘Wochenblatt’ , ‘Vilstalboten’ and ‘TZ MÜnchen’ , it was reported in Radio Trausnitz and also on TV on the channels Sat 1 and Pro 7.
What has happened to date : So far our biggest project:
This is Kevin in his mother’s arms and he is laughing so heartily that one simply must laugh with him. This is quoted from Bavaria’s ‘Wochenblatt’: No one knows where he is… Kevin’s Life between worlds Kevin was alert as a child. At one year of age he could walk and spoke his first words. Then there was a tragic accident. Now Kevin lies in a persistent vegetative state, he cannot walk, speak or feed himself. Now he is fed through a stomach tube, he lives between worlds. The doctors said that Dolphin Therapy could be of some help. ‘Lebensfreude e.V.’ (registered charity) started a collection over Radio Trausnitz and the tz-muenchen and also enlisted the help of the Red BavariansDingolfing (FC Bayern Fanclub) and the local papers. In 12 days enough money was collected to fly Kevin and his whole family for 16 days to Kas in Turkey to take part in Dolphin Therapy. Read the rest of this entry »
We started in May 2007 – the Dolphin Therapy for our son Marius. Marius is three years old but his mental and physical development stopped at six months, there has been no diagnosis….
He was very healthy at six months, but then his development stopped. Marius still looks six months old and is soooooo sweet ! ! !
A lot of people advised us to try dolphin therapy but we were put off by the long trip to the USA or Curacao and naturally the expense… Read the rest of this entry »
