We had a wonderful time at the dolphin therpie it was good for Carina. A fiew days after beeing back in germany Carina slept much better during the nights and it still continues. So we thinking about a dolphin therapie in 2012 but we don’t know exact weather we have the time for that. May be we’ll see us next year.
I sent the pictures we took with you and Canina with this mail.
We hope you’re ok and we’ll see us in turkey again.
First of all I would like to say that I absolutely respect and support reasonable Wildlife Conservation. Every person who puts himself out for another living being deserves acclaim.
I am a mother of a disabled child. My son has retarded development problems and suffers from fits. In the past we were more in hospitals than at home. After more than 30 fits my endurance was at an end. Again and again I saw my child unmoving with his muscles cramped, his face turning blue, for three years I couldn’t leave him for 1 second out of my sight. Then his development slowed and he was not able to do things that other children of his age had long since accomplished. Also to experience that pained my heart. I couldn’t lead a normal life.
At 3 yrs. He couldn’t speak a single word, was not alert to danger and was always falling over. My life was composed only of fear, worry about the future and visits to Therapy.
The visit to Antalya definitely produced the first visible progress. He began to speak, learned to climb stairs on his own and became more open and self-confident. Read the rest of this entry »
We have returned from Louis’ dolphin therapy in Antalya – and we are absolutely overwhelmed, fascinated, happy, content and thankful ! It was wonderful !
We arrived Saturday evening on 02.10.10, shortly before midnight, at our Hotel in Antalya. Our aircraft had a technical failure and we were delayed for a few hours before we could take off. As a former Stewardess we were naturally not especially flustered but Louis also remained calm and and weathered the long journey very well.
Sunday morning we received our first visit from a therapist from the dolphin park with the invitation to a Reception and Meeting in the afternoon. At 14:00 hours we were greeted by a very friendly complete therapy team. Read the rest of this entry »
We understand your concern over the attacks from people who don’t in fact know you.
We spent 10 days for research purposes in the Onmega Therapy Center in Antalya in 2009.
We bore witness to the attention you gave to the health and well-being of the animals and also to the quality of patient care.
We welcomed altogether the openess and collaboration of the whole team, the trainers and therapists, the playful approach of the animals, the repectful understanding and the provision of service.
The complete work was great and deserves merit.

I’m sorry that we are so late in writing, no day goes by that we and Laura don’t speak of you.
We and Laura had a very nice time with you. Laura misses Daisy and you, Fleur. In Laura’s room there hangs a big picture of you both and she still sings the Daisy song.
We also met Valerie which was very nice. She now also has pierced ears but Laura wasn’t keen.
Many things have changed since the dolphin therapy, Laura is a big girl now and I see even bigger changes in her. e.g. She tries more to communicate by speech. The speech therapist says that the tone of her voice has changed. Lately she tries to read lips and repeat the words which is which is very important for Laura. Read the rest of this entry »
I spent a long time with a blank page before me because I was unsure how to put all my thoughts and feelings into words. So many occurences are worth calling to attention, so today I shall write down a few significant thoughts, of which I now know that they describe one of the most meaningful events in our lives.
Nearly 1 ½ years have gone by. More exactly – 15 months – 64 weeks, since we travelled to you – to Daisy – and we both love to look back to this special and intensive time. Not only the positive, and at the same time mystical, emanations of the dolphins worked small wonders. It was the many little aspects of the therapy that helped my daughter and I to master the challenges in our lives and which helped us to cope with the psychological stress of the past.
Today I would like to relate a small miracle:
To this I must add that my little one at this point in time could not utter a sentence.
…We were at the platform again and Jennifer swam with her therapist Barbara and Daisy. As on previous days, Barbara sang the song: Daisy Daisy dance with me… and always encouraged Jenny to sing along. And all of a sudden my daughter began to sing with her. I couldn’t understand it, because I was too far away to hear my daughter’s voice, and Barbara said to Jennifer: Sing louder. And I stood on the secure platform and heard my child! She sang with Daisy, held her flippers and they swam in a circle and MY CHILD sang loud and clear! No she was yelling!!
„Daisy Daisy dance with me, here are my hands, one time there and back, it’s all so easy.“
The whole song and then once again, and I was standing on the pier and crying. I cried so loud that people started looking. My child, who couldn’t speak, who couldn’t form a sentence, was singing the whole song. I couldn’t understand it. I couldn’t believe it. But it was true.
Dear friends, helpers and donators to the Aktion Delphin e.V.
Our dream came true and we look back to an eventful time!
From 03. – 17.07.2010 we were in Antalya , Turkey, in the Onmega Dolphin park. During the journey Max was very nervous and excited. We believe that he sensed that a great event lay before him.
Soon after the first few dolphin therapies Max was a changed person. He gained his sense of balance and just enjoyed himself the whole time. Read the rest of this entry »
Report on my ever loving daughter Sabrina and the dream coming true of visiting “our Angels of the Seas”.
From our hearts to parents of a disabled child:
Heaven’s special child There was a meeting a long way from Earth.
„It is time for another birth“ said the Angels up there to God, and this special child will need lots of love. Its progress will be very slow, achievements may not be apparent. And the people down there will have to take care of it.
It cannot walk, laugh or play like others, its thoughts will be of another world. Ignored by many people, as a disabled child it will always be at a disadvantage So let us be careful where we shall send it. We want it to have a happy and peaceful life. Please God, find us the parents who will master this difficult task for you.
They won’t know at first which important role they must play for this child who is very loyal and possesses a lot of love.
But soon the parents will realise their privilege in caring for this present from heaven. This precious charge, so gentle and mild, is heaven’s very special present. Read the rest of this entry »
I undertook practical training from August to October 2010 in the Dolphin Therapy Center, Antalya/Türkey and with this Report would like to inform future interested parties of my experiences and impressions.
The Therapy Center engages a multi cultural team comprising Therapists, Dolphin trainers, Trainees and diverse personnel who are mainly responsible for tourism. A good knowledge of the English language is therefore most important to be able to work there and to socialize. Read the rest of this entry »
Marlies is a four year old girl who was born with the Angelman syndrome. This entails a mental and physical disability. Although her body is optically normally developed, she cannot sit by herself, she cannot crawl or make herself understood. With the help of the Lionsclub we were able to book an Onmega dolphin therapy for July 2010.
The flight to Dalaman and the transfer to Antalya – although nearly 2 hours – was without problems. In the Hotel Club Turban we received a very friendly welcome, everything was clean and tidy, the usual 4 star standard.
On the first day after our arrival we had the introductory meeting in the Therapy Center. We gained a very positive impression from the agenda and the way the meeting was held. We left with the feeling that the Onmega people were capable and really wanted to help, that they were professionals who knew what they were doing and that Marlies would be in good hands.
