Therapy report from Anna Strahl, 8 years old
Therapy from 29.09.08 – 13.10.08
THANKYOU to Barbara and the whole TEAM!!!!!
We had an unforgettable and also for us parents an instructive time in Turkey with the Onmega Team and the dolphins. ( https://www.delphintherapie.net/ ) Our outward journey was strenuous because Anna didn’t want to sit still. But still it worked better than we had imagined. (we were a little anxious about the long flight and the 90 minute bus transfer)
From the very first second we felt at home in the Hotel Mares. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Read the rest of this entry »
Janina’s Dolphin Therapy in Antalya turkey from 29.09. – 13.10.2008
My name is Janina and I am 11 years old. Because of my spasticity and weak muscles I visited the dolphins in Antalya from 29.09. to 13.10. 2008. On Tuesday, one day after we arrived at the Hotel Mares, we began the therapy starting with an introduction to the therapists. My Dad and I had to answer questions concerning my disability. Having recorded all the information they prepared a course of therapies based on my disability.
In the mornings dolphin therapy and in the afternoons speech or physio therapy. On Wednesday morning I had my first therapy session. My dolphin was called Daisy. At first I was anxious about his size but Barbara, my therapist, quickly calmed my fears. She showed me Daisy from the edge of the pool. Read the rest of this entry »
Dear.Barbara, sorry that I am writing to you only now, but until yesterday my computer was out of action. Now at long last I can send you Nico’s report! But more important is…….. WE MISS YOU !! NIIICHOLAAA is very well: he is always laughing, reacts a lot better when spoken to, holds more often eye contact and is generally more open! Another good thing is that Nico can now manage his toilet himself without any help. The only drawback is that he enjoys it and the child always stinks.
I hope the report is to your liking and that you can use it all! If you cannot open it or if you only receive the text without pictures let me know and I will use a different programme. Oh dear, it is such a shame that you are such a long way away! Please say hello to everyone for us (especially Suna, Claudia and Anett ) and give Daisy a biiiiig kiss and an extra fish from Nico! I hope we shall stay in contact. Read the rest of this entry »
Dear ONMEGA Dolphin Therapy Team who are providing a wonderful service in a paradisiacal part of Antalya.
We wish to thank you (Ms Elena, Mr Turgay, Ms Barbara, Ms Suna, Frozy, and others) for your support during our 12 day stay for therapy for our son Yigit INCILI.
We cannot describe the positive energy we felt that came from the dolphins during the first epilepsy therapy session, together with the specialist therapists. We have discovered how much dolphin therapy is effective when working with well-trained dolphins and experienced specialists. My son’s improvements and positive progress after the therapy made us very happy. Read the rest of this entry »
We would like to report about our experiences, impressions and the resulting success of our dolphin therapy. Our dream to have a dolphin therapy was finally fulfilled on 07.07.2007!
For years it had been our wish to engage our daughter Sarina, who has multiple disabilities, in a dolphin therapy. We had heard so many positive things about the effects a dolphin therapy can have and experienced it with other children, so naturally we wanted to enable Sarina to participate in such a wonderful experience and give her the chance of betterment with her handicap. With wonderful support, we finally got to fulfill this dream! Read the rest of this entry »

We waited a long time before writing our experience report about Kay’s dolphin therapy in August 2007. We wanted to see what effects it would have throughout the months following therapy.
Kay, a multiple complex disabled, 16 year old boy, experienced months of pain after a hip operation in June 2006 because of medical egligence. Because of this, Kay lost all trust in his own body which led to muscle tension with a Scoliose-development of 65 degrees. Read the rest of this entry »
We took part in Dolphin Therapy with our daughter Ella from 25.08. to 08.09.2008 in Antalya.
What did Dolphin Therapy do for us?
After our stay in Turkey we have been asked this question many times. The answer is not quite so simple.
What has changed ?
Has anything changed ?
But let us start at the beginning. In January 2008 we made a snap decision and applied for Dolphin Therapy for Ella. On 25.08.08 we (Ella, her brother Roman, Christine and Frank Nödinger), arrived in Antalya. The Hotel Grand Yazici Mares (now called the Dolphinpark Mares) we liked right from the start. We had a very nice bungalow with a sea view. The very next day we were welcomed by Suna and invited to our first discussion. Later on Veronica explained everything to us and so we were keyed up as on the following day it was all to start. Read the rest of this entry »
Hello, just dropping you a quick line to let you know about Sabine.
She talks a lot, also more in sentences (eg. What’s your name? Where are we going? Who was that?) She often repeats what we say and she imitates movements with her body too.
That ‘no’ is no longer usual. More and more she can stop walking, stand on her own, and pick up something from the floor. Read the rest of this entry »
