Dolphin Therapy for Nina was an improving and wonderful experience

Hello Axel, Alex, Galina, in fact everyone !

Nina is doing just fine. Her Doctor is well pleased, she has really improved. Her co-ordination is smoother and she is more stable and is still very happy. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. Maybe we shall come back next year (We shall start saving now!)
In the attachment are a few photos from our holiday.

After long preparation we decided to follow up our successful dolphin therapy in Kas in 2006 with a dolphin therapy in Kemer in 2007. We met two families in Kas that were also thrilled from their therapy and we decided to travel to Kemer together in 2007 for another therapy! Said and Done! On the 11.08.2007 the three of us began our trip, two families with Rett-Syndrome-girls and one family with Florian, who till then did not have a diagnosis. Hello Barbara !

It took a while, but now we have a lot to report. Firstly, I hope you and your colleagues are doing well and that you all had a good start into the new year. We have a very turbulent time behind us because Michael has been sick a lot.Otherwise he is doing great though.
-He walks very well holding our hand. He sometimes lets go and yesterday for the first time he stood on his own for about 30seconds and did this several more times. -Michaels understanding of language has improved and his reaction time following requests has shortened.

The Treitler Family’s Experiences of Dolphin Therapy in Kemer

As we have three dolphin therapies behind us with our son Rene, who suffers from Ohtahara syndrome with epilepsy, we would like to tell you of our experiences at this Centre.

We, my wife Sandra, our daughter Lisa and I were in 2003 in Cuba, 2005 in Kas and from 28.07. to 11.08.2007 for the first time, but definitely not the last, in this Therapy centre.

After a 2 hour flight from Linz to Dalaman we were collected, after checking out, by a Mini bus which took us to the Kemer Dolphin Park. The drive took about 90 minutes. Read the rest of this entry »

Today it snowed for the first time, I hope it is still nice and warm where you are. I have to send you an important and very nice message.

Marcell rode his bike for the first time alone today. He can ride for a few 100 meters at a time. It is great, because that was our big hope for the dolphin therapy- that it would help him with his balance. We asked Marcell who had taught him to ride his bike and he said “The dolphins!”.

He is very proud of himself that he can now ride his bike. Isn’t it a great success?

Dolphin Therapy Experiences of the Morstein Family from 4.8 -18.8.2007.

Hello,At long last we have found the time to let you know of our impressions of the dolphin therapy in Kemer from 4.8. -18.8.2007.

The journey to turkey was altogether quite without problems, except that the Airport at Stuttgart was not prepared for disabled persons. In Dalaman we were met and taken to the transfer bus. After a 90 minute drive we arrived in the Kemer Resort. After lunch we moved into our accommodation. 2 nice rooms next to each other. Christoph claimed straight -away the big “Wheelchair -suitable” room.
It was a shame that Christoph’s room had a 5cm high step that prevented the wheelchair from entering the bathroom. Also there were no hold bars in the bathroom. Read the rest of this entry »

Treitler ailesinin Kemer Yunus Terapisi Deneyimleri

Epilepsili Ohtahara sendromundan muzdarip oğlumuz Rene için geçmişte üç yunus terapisi yaptırmış bir aile olarak bu merkezdeki deneyimlerimizi anlatmak istiyoruz. Biz, eşim Sandra, kızımız Lisa ve ben 2003 de Küba’da, 2005 de Kaş’ta ve ilk olarak 28 . 07/11.08.2007 tarihleri arasında, ama kesinlikle son değil bu merkezde yunus terapisine katıldık.

Linz’den Dalaman’a 2 saatlik uçuştan sonra, havaalanı çıkışında bir minibüs tarafından alınarak Kemer Yunus Park’ına götürüldük. Yolculuğumuz yaklaşık 90 dakika sürdü. Yaklaşık 13 saat kadar süren Küba ve Florida yolculukları ile karşılaştırıldığında oldukça kısa olan bu yolculukta Hiperaktif olan Rene’ye katlanmak kolaydı. Read the rest of this entry »

Il Treitler esperienze di terapia familiare di delfini a Kemer

Come abbiamo tre terapie delfino dietro di noi con il nostro figlio, Rene, che soffre di epilessia, sindrome di Ohtahara, vorremmo dire delle nostre esperienze in questo centro.

Noi, mia moglie Sandra, la nostra figlia Lisa e mi sono stati nel 2003 a Cuba, nel 2005 e da Kas 28.07. al 11.08.2007 per la prima volta, ma sicuramente non l’ultimo, in questo centro di terapia.

Hello Barbara,

I finally have the time and muse to write you an email. I think about it often, look at our pictures of the dolphin therapy several times a week and have to say it was a great time. I have also visited the website several times out of interest, to see where and how it will continue. We are waiting with anticipation. Although I must say, in retrospect, that the hotel with the slides, pools, kids club (for Laura) and food was good.

What is Daisy doing now if she has no therapy? Must be weird for her to suddenly have no kids in the water with her every day. And you?

Maxi has discovered his own will since the therapy and likes to show it. He doesn’t put up with everything anymore, but also enjoys it with pleasant things. He lives more intently now and does not just let things happen. He also looks more, which means his perception and senses are a bit better. Sometimes he also just lies very still on his side and plays with his fingers or watches something in front of him.
