Wounded Bosnia Veteran with PTSD swimming with dolphins

My name is Roy Kolmer from the Netherlands living nearby Den Haag. Me and my family were swimming in your dolphin therapy center in May 2016. Our stay was booked on the name of Harrie and Marleen Kolmer . I’m the son of these great parents!

What you don’t know is that I’m a Bosnia war veteran with PTSD and that I got wounded when I was 17 years old. Swimming with the dolphin means very much to me. Although I’m participating in a long time therapy for soldiers with PTSD this session helped me more than all the sessions which I have had in the last 15 to 20 years.

Also my wife, Liesbeth and our children, Danique and Jasmijn, liked the special things the dolphins were doing. I wrote a book in Dutch and English named “Living with Ptsd: The True Story of a Bosnia War Veteran”. You can read it in the bookstore or buy it from a bookshop.

My hobby, as you know, is taking pictures with the Nikon DSLR camera, which you also like. Me and my family want to thank you a lot for this special dolphin session we had. In fact, thanks a lot for all!
