Olivia’s therapy exceeded our expectations
Olivia had dolphin therapy in September 2014. Our expectations were not high, I just hoped, that even if I do not see changes in her behavior, maybe something changes inside her. It was not important to me to see a miracle, more important was, that she could understand and feel the world better after therapy. One was sure – she will love those 2 weeks with dolphins
Before going to Antalya we got many help from Elena by e-mail, our questions were answered even before asking them. Our little special needs were answered with good nature.
First meeting with therapist Svetlana was warm and lovely. Again, we got lots of information; we set our goals and introduced Olivia to team.
Olivia does speak only Estonian; she does not understand any foreign language. It was not problem at all, Olivia and Svetlana did not need my translation, and they understood well body language.
It was just great to sit there by floating pools and see my daughter open up in full happiness! Soon after first sessions, I sensed changes in her – she was more open and invited me to her games, what she had not done before.
Now, 4 months later, we can see many positive changes in Olivia – we got more from dolphin therapy that we expected. There have been many developments in her – she does not wet her bed anymore. She is more social – she plays with other children, communicates with them. She tells stories about where she has been and what she has done (describes her life). She has been healthy during winter (we have many viruses at the kindergarten in winter). She has better coordination and accuracy of movements if her body
In addition, me, her mom, has not had migrant since we were in dolphin therapy this is miracle that I did not expect. I had migrant’s even2-3 times a week for 20 or even more years.
We thank all great team in Omega dolphin therapy from all of our hearts! Our special thanks go to Jonas and Daisy and of course to Svetlana. We hope, that we can return in some beautiful day!
Olivia and Krista
