Our new and modern therapy rooms
Dear Friends of the Dolphin Therapy Center in Antalya,
as perhaps some of you already know, during the Winter of 2010/2011 we moved 70 metres from our Container locality to rooms in the Hotel Mares. Even though the move was combined with a lot of stress, we now have many new and pleasing facilities. We still have a view to the sea and a comfortable sea terrace.
In addition to the new management and company facilities there is a new classical and modern Therapy Center covering 150 sq.m. Together with our animal-assisted therapy methods (Dolphin and Hippo therapy) combined with classical therapy methods we can now broaden our therapy spectrum to include forms such as Cranio Sacral-, Logo-, Ergo-, Physio-, Theraband- and Adeli-therapy.
The heart of our new Therapy Center is however the Adeli-therapy for which we have engaged experienced specialists. The Adeli-therapy is used for the treatment of patients with Spastic, Cerebal-Paresis, MS, Paralysis through stroke and other difficulties of movement. The Adeli-therapy originates from the space programme and, similarly to an astronaut, the patient is fitted into a suit, the so-called “Adeli-Suit”, which is made up of many support and weighted elements, such as shoulder pads and vest, a wide belt with shorts, knee pads and shoes. These parts of the suit are connected with elastic straps which stimulate and train the muscles when the patient undertakes neuro-physiological exercises.
As the Adeli-therapy is hardly found in Europe, as opposed to the rest of the world, the Onmega Therapy Center in Antalya can now offer these new therapy methods to many Europeans who would benefit from this therapy so that they do not have to travel to America (60 Centers) and east Asia (countless Adeli-Centers).
We can hardly wait for the Summer season to begin so that we can welcome our therapy guests. We hope that lots of happiness and fun and many unforgettable moments will be experienced in our new Therapy Center. We are looking forward to it in anticipation!
Sunny Greetings,
Axel Linke and the Onmega-Team
