Dolphin Therapy 2009 Nico Herrmann
Dolphin Therapy 2009 Nico Herrmann
We managed to fly with Nico to the dolphins again this year!
Naturally there was no question of ‘where’, we flew to Antalya in turkey. Nico was already excited at the airport, he knew where we were going. We are always very pleased to see you again. This time too Barbara was Nico’s therapist and Daisy was Nico’s dolphin. That eased Nico’s settling-in a lot.
Nico had had a few set backs through hip surgery so it was good for him to have a therapist that knew him. He was able to engage himself quickly with many things and they worked well together.
Nico was a happy child the whole time, he was very alert and had a lot of fun. We also really enjoyed going out to the ranch to Filis and Salih. The calm atmosphere enabled us parents to relax and Nico enjoyed his Hippo therapy in peace and quiet away from holiday tourists.
We must praise this year the two trainees Nora and Irina, who were always helpful and at our side whether it was changing clothes for the children or organisational problems. Also the baby sitting worked really well, even though some children require a lot of attention. Many thanks to them both!!!
Thanks of course to Barbara who knew how to tame our little rogue and they laughed and had a lot of fun together. Thanks to Filis and Salih, who managed this year to get Nico to hold objects longer and also to react more slowly when prompted. Thanks also to Rick, the dolphin trainer, who always sang sooo nicely, though Daisy could do that too…….. only much louder! We would also like to thank Ramona and Puni, with whom we didn’t have quite so much contact but who also contributed towards a successful therapy.
This year we have some really great photographs – taken this time by a specialist– some of which Herr Wingarn at Megasport will surely want in his web site. Whoever looks at these photos doesn’t really need to read a Report – they speak for themselves!
We hope that we can come next year – once again Greetings to the whole team!
See you soon, Conny and Nico Herrmann
