Colins Dolphin Therapy
Our Colin is 12 years old, autistic, suffering from Asperger’s Syndrome and became epileptic after emergency surgery following a severe accident in March 2014. Prescription drugs have not been able to reasonably control his epilepsy.
Against all expectations of his doctors here in Germany, Colin has well tolerated all therapies. His last epileptic attack occurred 10 days prior to our flight to Turkey and – knock on wood – it’s almost like a miracle, he has not had another attack since then !!
He has become more open, has begun to talk about emotions, and has begun to sometimes seek physical contact. He sometimes makes eye contact, and he has his tantrums less often. But also the entire family has benefited a great deal from our stay, we refueled our strength, and there was family time – which had become very rare during the last 2 years of hospital stays and therapies. More good things have occurred than we had ever dared to wish for, and we are determined to repeat the therapy, if possible even in the coming year.
We wish the entire team a Merry Christmas and a great start into the year 2017.
With kind regards,
The Brockschmidt Family
