We waited a long time before writing our experience report about Kay’s dolphin therapy in August 2007. We wanted to see what effects it would have throughout the months following therapy.
Kay, a multiple complex disabled, 16 year old boy, experienced months of pain after a hip operation in June 2006 because of medical egligence. Because of this, Kay lost all trust in his own body which led to muscle tension with a Scoliose-development of 65 degrees. Read the rest of this entry »
Hello, just dropping you a quick line to let you know about Sabine.
She talks a lot, also more in sentences (eg. What’s your name? Where are we going? Who was that?) She often repeats what we say and she imitates movements with her body too.
That ‘no’ is no longer usual. More and more she can stop walking, stand on her own, and pick up something from the floor. Read the rest of this entry »
Parent report from Leon from 11.08.2008 – 25.08.2008
This year I finally had time to write a report and I cannot even express how grateful I am towards Barbara and Daisy. We already had been to dolphin therapy last year with Leon (8).
We kept our expectations for the therapy very low so we would not be disappointed. As Leon suffers from multiple disabilities, we were not sure what kind of changes could be expected.
Leon could only speak a few words last year before the therapy, and even these few were very hard to understand. Right after the 4. therapy with Daisy, Leon started saying several words and they became more and more with time. Overall, his whole development took a giant step forwards. We still cannot believe what Daisy brought out in Leon.
Leon also has a balance problem which makes walking impossible for him. But even this has improved and he can now walk a few meters with the rollator. Because of these great improvements we decided to do another therapy. As the whole team moved in the Winter we were looking forward to our next trip to turkey even more (the Antalya Resort was not so great). We booked ourselves a room in the Grand Yaszici and it was great. Read the rest of this entry »
Therapy Report from Family Eilmsteiner 26. July-09. August 2008
Hello Veronika, Dean and the whole therapy team!
First of all we would like to thank you all, especially Veronika and Dean. It was a great and successful time that we got to spend with you.
On the 26.July 2008 at midnight our journey started. We were very excited to see how our trip and the therapy would go. Our journey went very smoothly and the hotel Grand Yacizi Mares was very nice. Our bungalow was very big and the location was central and quiet.
The next day we had our meeting with the therapists. We had a great first impression and were excited about the therapy start. Read the rest of this entry »
we are very happy that you have not forgotten us. We will see if the young man contacts us. Pauli talks a lot about his dolphin therapy and asks for Uncle Axel and Elena and Salih and Feliz. We bought a therapy bike mid June for Pauli and our child, that could never ride a tricycle, or pedal on a bike, sat on it and rode off.
It was an indescribable feeling and we would have never thought that it would be possible to do a bike tour to grandma and grandpa (3 km away from us). It was like a little miracle. Read the rest of this entry »
We would like to say thank you again for the great dolphin therapy. The whole team was great (we miss you). Philipp talks a lot and reacts very fast. Greetings to Linda, Suna, Feliz, Sali…
Finally I had the chance to meet Flip today 🙂 This was our first day here in Antalya.
Me and my daughter were so excited. There is nothing to compare this feeling. I’ve booked the first free period for Wednesday, so I hope the wonder will be continued. You can be proud of your trainers. They are so enthusiastic, full of responsibility and kind..Congratulations! For the idea, too. Read the rest of this entry »
Now time has gone by quickly again and a lot has happened. Again, Paul has benefited greatly from the therapy. His pronunciation has become a lot clearer and he can sing wonderfully “wrong”. He also came a long way with his motoric skills and we are very happy about this. Paul keeps asking about Elena, but also about uncle Axel and Elena. Sali and Feliz are also often talked about. I cannot send you a mini-disco video yet Axel, it is not finished yet. All in all we are so happy to have spent such a great time with you. It was very well organised, just like last time and the new therapy center is wonderful. Lots of greetings to Feliz and Sali, the Hippo Therapy was great. We often visit your website and we are planning to come again, probably in 2009. In hopes that we will see you again soon, and hear or read from you until then, we leave you with warmest greetings for the whole team.
Paul, Michael and Sabine Harzke
